Programme Implementation

i) Brief Description: Pre Matric Scholarships. All S.T. & S.C. students persecuting studies in a recognized M.E. & High Schools are eligible to get this stipend at the following rates :

ii)Post Matric Scholarship:
All S.C.& S.T. students persecuting studies in recognized colleges are eligible to get scholarship subject to the following conditions.
1)Income ceiling up to Rs. 45,760/- Full maintenance allowance + full fees for Group-A category.
2)Income ceiling up to 60,900/- Half maintenance allowance + full fees for Group B, C, D, & E.

Group A:-

Degree course in Medical Engineering Including Ayurvedic & Homeopathic Agriculture , veterinary etc.

          This Department is dealing with the following N.G.Os.
 
   1) KIITS: Development of PGT ( Juanga) in Banspal Block area.
                Grants received – Rs. 19,02,000/-
 
   2) PRAKALPA, College Road, Keonjhar: Development of P.T.G. (Bhuyan)
                Grants received – 6,50,950/-
   3) Indian International Centre, Panasdiha: Running of Schools.
                No grants received.
   4) NYSADRI, Kaliahata, Telkoi: Creach centers, No grant received during 99-2000.
 
          Inter Caste marriage
 
          Incentive of Rs. 3000/- is given to the couples of inter caste marriage. One of the spouse should belong to S.C.,Contact Officials: D.W.O.
 
          Admission is Schools.
 
          12 boys high school and 5 girls’ high schools, 12 Ashram schools, 1 Kanyashram & 14 residential sevashrams are functioning in this District  The sanctioned strength of boarders I these Schools is 5510. Boarding facility is available for these students. Besides fooding, these students are provided cash bedding, utensils, cots etc and reading and writing materials.
 
          Admission is open to any S.C./S.T. student,. The students guardians are required to contact the Headmasters. Caste Certificate.
 
          Caste certificate is required to be produced for the purpose of admission/award of prematric and post matric scholarship. Caste certificate can be obtained from District Magistrate & Collector/ Sub-Collector/ Tahasildar/ B.D.Os/ M.Ps/ M.L.A.s/ D.W.O./ A.D.W.O./ W.E.Os for the purpose.
